Since creating Intel Select Solutions, we’ve seen a number of leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) verify their solutions to meet customer demands across hybrid cloud, data center transformation, advanced analytics, high performance computing, and network transformation. Intel Select Solutions is an expansion of Intel’s deep investment in the ecosystem, enabling customers to speed return on investment in Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor-based infrastructure.
Today, we announced a new partner in Select Solutions: Huawei.* Intel® Select Solutions for NFVI on Huawei FusionSphere* and Intel® Select Solutions for Huawei FusionStorage* will soon be available for Communications Service Providers (CoSPs) and enterprises alike.
Huawei FusionSphere
Huawei’s launch of Intel Select Solutions is a significant milestone given the company’s global reach and the prominence of the FusionSphere platform in the network. Communication service providers (CoSPs) trust Huawei thanks to their insight into communications workloads and history of providing solutions to leading CoSPs.
Huawei has extensive experience delivering complete solutions that target demanding communications workloads, such as network functions virtualization (NFV) and NFV infrastructure. Huawei FusionSphere is a leading Cloud OS for Telco NFV, which incorporates rich, enterprise-level enhancements across compute, storage, network management, installation, maintenance, security, and reliability. It supports multiple infrastructure virtualization technologies, including bare-metal resources.
Due to Huawei’s deep understanding of the telecoms industry, FusionSphere is an agile, reliable cloud OS for enterprise and carrier customers. With the new Intel Select Solutions for NFVI with Huawei FusionSphere, carriers and enterprises will be able to deploy a NFV solution quickly and easily with verified software and hardware to address a wide range of use cases, like vEPC, vIMS, vFW, vBRAS, OSS/BSS, and more.
Huawei FusionStorage
Huawei FusionStorage allows for fully distributed cloud storage with massive scale-out capability for enterprises to rapidly install and remain flexible. Multiple companies are already using FusionStorage, and we’re anticipating even wider adoption with Intel Select Solutions for Software Defined Storage with Huawei FusionStorage as enterprises realize our advanced security features don’t compromise efficiency thanks to Intel SSD technology.
Verified configurations of both the Intel Select Solutions for Huawei FusionStorage and the Intel Select Solution for NFVI on Huawei FusionSphere are available from Huawei today and are expected to be available from additional OEM partners in the future.
